MOVIE | The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards

The 68th Golden Globe Awards will be on January 15th and nominees are already out. Only one of the five best picture nominees have I seen so far so I cannot really judge the others.  I've only seen Inception and I must say that I am impressed by this movie more so of the narrative, cinematography, and acting among others.

However, I am really disappointed that Leonardo Dicaprio was not nominated as best actor for Inception. I mean he had done a lot of laudable movies in 2011 (e.g. Shutter Island) but none gave earned him a best actor title. This is exactly what happened back during the Titanic days when Dicaprio was ignored in the best actor category. Years later and the situation still hasn't changed. What's their problem with Dicaprio? I am even surprised that Mark Wahlberg would be acknowledged as best actor in the Academy Awards.

On the other hand, Glee, Matthew Morrison (Glee), and Lea Michelle (Glee) were nominated for Best Television Series (Musical), Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series (Musical), Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series (Musical) respectively. Good news for glee fans out there.
